Facing the Giants

I finally had the chance today to watch the movie Facing the Giants. This movie is basically Remember the Titans goes born-again. For those who don't like too much God in your movies, this isn't for you. Not to mention the acting isn't that fabulous, but with a low budget and the fact that casting was done mostly from one congregation, what can you expect. For the most part it is believable.
The part that really got me on this movie is that it is not afraid to be a Christian movie. The school is a Christian academy so they can pray before their football games which was refreshing to watch. No one freaked out when God was mentioned. I loved that about it. The culmination in the idea that with God all things are possible was a fabulous climax. People are capable of so much more than we think, if we only give ourselves the chance and believe in something more than ourselves.
